Saudi businessman praises Amir''s donation for development projects

KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- A Saudi businessman praised on Monday His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah's donation of USD 500 million to the USD two billion initiative he launched for providing financial resources for Arab development projects.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the Arab Economic Summit that kicked off here Monday, Sheikh Saleh Kamil also praised the Kuwaiti donation of USD 34 million to cover the needs of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) in occupied Palestinian territories out of its belief in the importance of the agency's humanitarian role and to provide the needs of the Palestinians.
He described the initiative as "humanitarian" and stressed that Kuwait and His Highness the Amir were always ready to extent a helping hand to those in need.
