Arab leaders call for encouraging private sector participation in development

KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Arab leaders called, in their draft resolutions to the Arab Economic Summit, for praising the efforts of the private sector in supporting joint Arab action and inviting the private sector to continue contributing to Arab economic development.
The resolution called for supporting the private sector in its execution of national economic development projects and joint Arab projects to boost joint Arab economic action.
It encouraged the private sector to execute the resolutions of the summit in cooperation with the Arab League.
In addition, it called for activating the role of the civil society in the economic, social, and development fields and boosting partnership with its organizations and corporations to achieve the development, social, and economic goals.
It called for supporting the efforts of Arab civil society organization regionally and internationally and their activities to stress the Arab cultural identity.
It also urged boosting the participation of Arab civil society organizations in following up the execution of the summit's resolutions in cooperation with the Arab League and to provide all kinds of support to them. (end) kt KUNA 191101 Jan 09NNNN
