KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- Arab leaders, in the draft resolutions of the Arab Economic Summit, called for the execution of a plan to develop education in the Arab world between 2009 and 2019.
The draft resolution also called for supporting the efforts of the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization and Secretariat in executing the plan, as well as their projects and programs.
It tasked the organization and the Arab League Secretariat with preparing regular reports on the issue and submitting them to the summit.
On health, the draft resolution called on Arab governments to improve health care services, implement family care systems, and including this on the agenda of Arab health ministries.
It tasked the Council of Arab Health Ministers with preparing an integrated Arab project on that.
Moreover, it called for providing financial support for Arab health ministries according to the standards of the World Health Organization (WHO) and tasking the Council of Arab Health Ministers with providing a regular report on that. (end) kt KUNA 191055 Jan 09NNNN
