Arab eco. summit "historical" -- Libyan official

KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- The Arab economic and social development summit is a historical event that could formulate the future of Arab economy, said a Libyan official on Sunday.
Undersecretary for the Libyan Foreign Ministry Mohammad Al-Tahr Saliyala told KUNA after heading the Maghreb Union meeting at Bayan Palace that he wished all the best for the conference taking place tomorrow, adding that the Arab world would be waiting for the results of the momentous event.
On his part, Algerian Foreign Minister Murad Al-Madlisi hoped that the event would cast light on the dilemma of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, saying that discussing the issue would be vital.
KUNA learnt that the foreign ministers of Libya, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria and Libya were at the meeting.
