IITFC to support Arab summit outcomes - Al-Wuhaib

KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the International Islamic Trade and Financing Corporation (IITFC) Dr. Waleed Al-Wuhaib stressed Sunday that the corporation will support the outcomes of the Arab Economic Summit to kick off here Monday.
Al-Wuhaib told KUNA, on the sidelines of the Private Sector and Civil Society Forum that will conclude later today, that the IITFC aimed to increase trade among its 57 member countries.
IITFC has strong relations with more than 80 financial corporations and commercial banks in different areas of the region, including Dubai Islamic Bank and Kuwait Finance House, he said.
The establishment of IITFC was one of the main initiatives of the Islamic Development Bank Group in the past few years, he pointed out.
Meanwhile, Al-Wuhaib stressed on the importance of the summit, saying its outcomes would have great impact on the Arab people.
All issues discussed at the two-day forum and at the preparatory meetings held at the Arab League in the past few months will be referred to the Arab leaders, he added.
