KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- The allocation of a session to discuss youth affairs at the Arab Economic Summit's "Private Sector and Civil Society Forum" reflected the important contributions of this important segment of the society, said Director of the Arab League's Housing Policies and Immigration Department Ambassador Khalid Al-Wuhaishi.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the forum, he said the Arab Youth Observatory Program, affiliated to the Arab League, presented studies and reports aimed at boosting the role of youth civil societies in all fields of development, adding that these societies contributed clearly to Arab youth empowerment.
Some of the youth issues discussed in the papers are education, unemployment, and combating drug addiction, he said.
