KUWAIT, Jan 18 (KUNA) -- Great hope hinges on the Arab Economic Summit that will be hosted here tomorrow, and its impact will reflect on the daily lives of Arabs, said Director General of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Ahmad Al-Haroun on Sunday.
Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of the summit's "Private Sector and Civil Society Forum," he underscored the importance of issuing recommendations that would form the basis for Arab economic and developmental action.
He called for forming teams that would follow up the implementation of these recommendations, especially when it came to such projects as the electricity grid, railway network, the customs union, transportation, as well as food and water security.
Al-Haroun underscored the important role that the Arab private sectors, businesspeople and investors had to play in contributing to economic integration and the development process. (end) kt KUNA 181043 Jan 09NNNN
