Jordan says Arab Eco. Summit comprehensive

KUWAIT, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Jordanian foreign minister Salahuddin Al-Bashir said Saturday the Arab economic, development and social summit, due here on Monday, was comprehensive in terms of preparations by Kuwait and the Arab League.
Bashir, speaking to KUNA, hoped the January 19-20 summit would have tangible resolutions that would boost inter-Arab action at all the political, economic and social levels.
The Arab summit will pave way for economic integration among the Arab countries and economic openness on the World Trade Organization (WTO), he said.
Bashir said the summit was a good opportunity for the Arab countries to unite over a host of issues of mutual interest.
The Arab economic summit will be discussing the custom union, the inter-Arab trade, services, railway and road networks, poverty, health, unemployment and food security. (end) kt KUNA 172218 Jan 09NNNN
