Arab FMs to convene meeting Friday to prepare for Arab Eco. Summit

KUWAIT, Jan 16 (KUNA) -- Deliberations of Arab foreign ministers kick off here on Friday within the framework of preparatory meetings for the Arab economic summit to be held in Kuwait on January 19-20.
The Gaza events are expected to top the discussions of the Arab foreign ministers in addition to other issues on the agenda related to projects that have been proposed and expected to be approve by the participants.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said yesterday that the situation in Gaza will be at the top items on the agenda of the summit, "so that we all can to achieve an immediate halt to Palestinian bloodshed and search for appropriate mechanisms to enable the Palestinian brothers to rebuild what was destroyed by the Israeli war machine within regional and international framework, and with the initiative to create a climate of true reconciliation between the Palestinian brothers in order to maintain the unity of Palestinian ranks to enable them to achieve their legitimate demands in a just and comprehensive peace".
The Arab foreign ministers began arriving in Kuwait since yesterday afternoon, which also saw the meetings of the permanent delegates to the Arab League, in preparation for the summit, along with meetings of finance ministers and central bank governors held last Wednesday.
