Tunisian minister hopes Kuwait Summit will drive forward industrial cooperation

(With photos) TUNIS, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- Tunisian Minister of Industry and Energy Afif Chelbi expressed his view that the Arab Economic Summit in Kuwait would be an important step towards further industrial cooperation and commercial exchange between Arab countries.
In reply to a question regarding his aspirations for the summit, Chelbi said he hoped for cooperation between Arab countries in the field of energy and oil particularly after the Al-Sakhira refinery cooperative project recently established with Qatar.
"We hope that the Kuwait Economic Summit will establish more of these strategic partnerships with neighbouring Arab countries," he said.
Tunisia he said, also has free commercial exchange with the European Union since 2008, as well as having signed every regional trade agreement available like the Arab Free Trade Agreement and the Agadir Agreement, he said. (end) jkh.sd KUNA 152038 Jan 09NNNN
