Arabs to reflect economic, political unity during summit -- Safar

KUWAIT, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- Arab leaders are taking vital steps towards establishing a unified economic and political boundaries for the sake of their people, said Minister of Labor and Minister of State for Municipal Affairs Dr. Fadhil Safar Thursday.
Kuwait leadership did well in calling for such a Arab summit economic and social development summit, to be held on January 19-20, which would be an effort to reflect Arab aspirations for an economic unity, Safar told reporters.
The Minister said that politics and economics were two vital aspects that formulate a solid foundation for any integration plans, adding that Arab leaders were willing to use this mix to meet their people's dream for development.
On the Gaza Strip situation, Safar detested the brutal Israeli attacks against innocent civilians, saying that whenever a lasting ceasefire was implemented, Arab countries would make sure that Gaza's infrastructure is rebuilt. (end) mf.no.gta KUNA 152039 Jan 09NNNN
