Morocco eager for Kuwaiti economic summit to boost Arab joint economy

KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- A Moroccan diplomat expressed here on Wednesday his country's hope and keenness for the upcoming economic summit in Kuwait to boost Arab joint economic work and to overcome difficulties and obstacles regarding integration among Arab countries.
"We appreciate the initiative made by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and setting up the economic summit which will be vital to activate Arab joint work," Moroccan Ambassador to Kuwait Mohammad Belaish told KUNA.
The Ambassador noted such a summit derives from economic projects specific for implementation in various areas, including responding to the needs of Arab citizens and prosperity.
The Ambassador explained the summit would help tackle imbalances that hinder economic and social development in the Arab world which would lead to the formulation of Arab plans to achieve effective integration in priority areas of transport facilitation and communication, electrical grid interconnection, protection of the environment and promoting economic integration.
