KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Palestinian Minister of National Economy Mohammad Kamal underscored Wednesday the importance of the Arab Economic Summit given the circumstances the region was going through.
Speaking to KUNA prior to the meeting of Arab finance ministers, governors of central banks, and heads of monetary funds, he thanked the Kuwaiti government and people for their constant support for the Arab cause.
He noted the financial and moral support Kuwait provided to Palestinians, as well as its contribution of USD 300 million to the Palestinian budget plan.
He said the Palestinian delegation hoped to discuss the situation in Gaza and the Israeli attacks on Palestinians, and to seek a recommendation for reconstruction efforts.
A paper prepared by the delegation six months ago includes the construction of 1,000 housing units in Gaza Strip. (end) yms.ema KUNA 141134 Jan 09NNNN
