KUWAIT, Jan 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shimali said Arab finance ministers and governors of central banks, in their meeting later Wednesday, will discuss the global financial crisis and its impact of Arabs states.
Al-Shimali was speaking to KUNA prior to the meeting of Arab finance ministers, governors of central banks, and heads of monetary funds.
He said that the meeting was in line with the decision of the Arab Economic, Social and Development Council, and aimed at reviewing the financial crisis that the Arab world was facing.
It is important that these officials meet to coordinate efforts, he said.
This meeting comes before the Arab Economic Summit which will convene on Monday and Tuesday. A meeting of permanent representatives at the Arab League will be held on Thursday, and a joint meeting of Arab foreign and finance ministers on Friday.
