KHARTOUM, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- The Sudanese delegation participating in the Arab Economic Development and Social Summit hosted by Kuwait January 19-20, headed to Kuwait on Tuesday.
The delegation consists of the Foreign Minister, National Economy Minister, International Cooperation Minister, the Irrigation Minister, the Agriculture Minister, the Forestation Minister and the Sudanese Bank Governor.
On Wednesday Arab finance ministers and national bank governors will meet followed by a meeting of permanent Arab League envoys and senior officials in the economical council, while on January 16 a meeting will be held including the foreign ministers, finance ministers and economical and social council, said Director of the Arab Department in the Sudanese Ministry of International Cooperation Altajany Idriss.
He also said that the summit will discuss the financial downturn and the role of Arab financial institutions, commerce, investment, Arab food security in agricultural countries, energy, transport, trade routes, a joint railway system, air and land shipping, water, the environment, climate change, education, scientific research, youth, unemployment, immigration and anti-drug measures.
