Yemen says will propose forming of Arab Fin. Min. Council in Kuwait summit

KUWAIT, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- Yemen will propose during the economic and social summit, due in Kuwait next week, the formation of a council of Arab finance ministers to discuss financial issues of mutual concern, Yemeni minister of finance Numan Al-Suhaibi said here Tuesday.
Speaking to KUNA shortly after arrival here, Al-Suhaibi said the Yemeni proposal aimed at encouraging Arab countries to exert economic integration efforts specially in investments.
Arab ministers of finance and governors of central banks will be meeting here tomorrow to discuss proposals on how to act against impacts of the global financial crisis and refer the suggestions to the January 19-20 summit, he said.
Tomorrow's meeting, he added, would be discussing the encouraging of inter-Arab trade and investment.
