BEIRUT, Jan 13 (KUNA) -- Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Fawzi Salloukh, praised on Tuesday Kuwait's hosting of the Arab Economic Summit, January 19-20.
Salloukh said in statements to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), the Arab Economic Summit in Kuwait holds great importance, especially under the framework of the current economic and political crisis in the region.
He added, "Kuwait and the Arab World are putting efforts to raise the Arab Economy, and unify the Arab's political, economic and social stand.
He stressed on the importance of unifying the Arab stand, especially under the current circumstances in Gaza. Adding, The Arab Economic Summit is an opportunity to coordinate among Arab countries, and overcome obstacles imposed by the global economic crisis and the war on Gaza.
Salloukh said he will head to Kuwait on Thursday, to participate in the Arab Foreign Ministers meeting scheduled to hold on Friday in Kuwait. The meeting agenda is to concentrate on the situation on Gaza, under the ongoing 20days of Israeli aggression against Palestinians in Gaza Strip.
