AMMAN, Jan 3 (KUNA) -- Foreign Minister Salaheddin al-Bashir warned of the danger of the Israeli military escalation.
In a statement to Jordan News Agency (Petra), al-Bashir called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities towards this humanitarian catastrophe.
Al-Bashir said he had summoned the ambassadors of the five permanent Security Council members accredited to the Hashemite Royal Court to demand their immediate and urgent action to stop the Israeli violations and attacks against all the Palestinian people which resulted in a large number of innocent martyrs.
He renewed Jordan's condemnation of such unjustifiable military escalation, stressing that Jordan is still exerting efforts and contacts to stop the military operations and open the crossings points to allow humanitarian aid reach stricken people in the Gaza Strip.
He warned that the continuing of violence and aggression will exacerbate the crisis and it will not bring security to Israel. (end) bsb.tg KUNA 040028 Jan 09NNNN
