MUSCAT, Dec 30 (KUNA) -- Leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries welcomed Tuesday the holding of the Arab economic, social and development summit that would be held in Kuwait next month.
The GCC "welcomes the holding of the Arab economic, development and social summit in the State of Kuwait," said a final communique released after the two-day GCC summit.
The GCC leaders underlined "importance of the economic and development" dimension of the Kuwait summit.
They said the January 19-20 summit "will boost Arab-Arab relations and activate the joint Arab action." Kuwait and Egypt co-proposed the economic summit with the aim of pushing forward the inter-Arab development at the economic and social domains. (end) kt KUNA 301623 Dec 08NNNN
