SANAA, Dec 29 (KUNA) -- Yemeni Minister of Trade and Industry Yehia bin Yehia stressed here Monday the significance of the planned Arab economic summit due to be held in Kuwait on January 19.
The summit will be held at a very critical time as the Arab economy is locked in several regional and international economic challenges, he told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).
The Yemeni minister hoped that the summit would be a springboard for stronger Arab economic cooperation and coordination.
He added that his country would attend the summit, which he said would address key challenges facing Arab economic development and integration.
The Arab countries have huge potential to carry out integrated joint ventures that could lead to reinforcing and boosting their national economies, to increasing pan-Arab trade and to tapping available Arab energy and gas resources, he said. (end) az.mt KUNA 291242 Dec 08NNNN
