KUWAIT, Dec 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Civil Service Commission (CSC) organized
its annual forum on the topic of "knowledge management" here Wednesday.
Delivering a keynote speech during the inaugural session of the third
forum, CSC's Assistant Undersecretary for Administrative Development Zaid
Al-Nuwaif hailed this year's topic for the meeting, which came at a time when
as the entire world was locked in diverse financial and economic crises.
The one-day form shows the CSC's keenness on meeting, on a regular basis,
with officials of administrative development and training, he said.
Those officials are always required to find everything new and useful in
the development of administrative methods in both public and private sectors
so "knowledge management" was handpicked as the topic of this year's forum, he
added.
The key role of public administrative development and training departments
is to devise development blueprints and programs in light of a set of general
goals and policies, Al-Nuwaif said.
For his part, Advisor to CSC's Administrative Development Department Dr.
Tareq Al-Rayyis said several significant development plans had been worked out
this year.
Many training programs and courses have also been organized by the
department this year, he added.
Representatives from several public and private agencies were present
during the one-day meeting, which was held under the aegis of CSC Chairman
Abdulaziz al-Zabin. (end)
