Moroccan official praises upcoming Kuwait economic summit

(with photos) RABAT, Dec 23 (KUNA) -- A Moroccan parliament member on Tuesday described the upcoming Arab economic summit due to kick off in Kuwait next month as "a historic station to promote joint Arab cooperation." Speaking to KUNA, Al-Rasheed bin Al-Duraiweesh added that the next economic summit will also be a good opportunity for the Arab countries to continue their prospects of their joint cooperation and face various challenges.
Bin Al-Duraiweesh praised the initiative of the State of Kuwait to convene this summit with participation of different Arab countries in order to discuss several Arab issues in the economic, developmental and social spheres.
He pointed out that Morocco views the upcoming summit with optimism in order to fortify the Arab economies of external influences, especially the impact of the global financial crisis.
He called for the promotion and improvement of Arab economy through the strengthening of trade transactions between different countries and look for customs facilities in within the framework of the new world order.
The Moroccan official reiterated that the upcoming summit is a major historic station for strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors and a historic opportunity to remove various obstacles and difficulties obstructing the joint Arab action in many areas.
