Algerian minister asserts importance of economy conf. to be hosted by Kuwait

ALGIERS, Dec 15 (KUNA) -- Algerian Minister of Finance Karim Djoudi said on Monday the upcoming Economic Summit to be hosted in Kuwait next January is important and vital in relation to various economic levels.
Djoudi told KUNA that Algeria would be quite ready at the summit to exchange points of view and tackle current developments in the region regarding the financial crisis.
The upcoming summit will be for consultations and declaring decisions that are vital for numerous Arab countries, as well as for tackling various issues related to the financial crisis and investments, Djoudi said.
On a related matter, the minister said his country will join Arab free trade agreement in January 2009, a step which would bolster its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and presence in the Arab market.
