Arab League holds preperatory meeting for upcoming Arab Summit

CAIRO, Nov 18 (KUNA) -- The Preparatory Committee for the Arab Economic and Social Summit convened its meeting on the senior official scale at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo, Egypt on Tuesday.
The meeting was headed by Kuwait's Ministry of Finance Undersecretary for General Services and Economical Affairs Nabil Abduljalil.
The Kuwaiti delegation in the meeting was headed by Head of the Arab World Department in the Foreign Ministry Jassim Al-Mubaraky.
The six-Arab-nation committee members including Kuwait, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Qatar and Tunisia discussed preparations being made for the Arab Economic and Social Summit according to General Coordinator of the event envoy Mirvat Al-Talawi.
The meeting will also discuss the list of items on schedule and documents to be presented at the summit as well as its preceding meetings and forums for businessmen and public representatives.
She also said that the Kuwait Declaration which is to be established on the concluding day of the summit which is 20 January 2009, will also be discussed.
The Preparatory Committee will hold a further meeting on 20 November in light of the day's discussions.
