Algerian economist underlines importance of Kuwait''s eco summit

(With photos) ALGIERS, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- Chairman of the Algerian chamber of Commerce and Industry Ibrahim ben Jaber said Sunday Algiers believed in the importance of the economic summit, due in Kuwait next January.
The summit will mark a "genuine beginning" of economies of the Arab countries because the two-day meeting would touch upon key economic issues, ben Jaber told KUNA.
The economist anticipated large participation in the summit which would give a big boost to the Arab markets and inter-Arab economic integration.
Ben Jaber said the summit would be held amidst exceptional economic circumstances worldwide, hoping the summit would have an outcome that would pave way for a united and solid economic bloc.
The summit should further inter-Arab investments, he said and noted that Algeria's doors were wide open for Arab investors.
Algerian President Abdulaziz Bouteflika received an invitation from His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to attend the January 19-20 summit. (end) ft.bs KUNA 161920 Nov 08NNNN
