GAZA, Oct 28 (KUNA) -- Israel sent a harsh-toned letter of censure to
Egyptian officials over recent military maneuvers that Egypt carried out,
Israeli radio reported Tuesday.
"The letter considered the Egyptian military exercises an act against
Israel", the radio added.
According to radio statements, the letter was delivered by head of the
Defense Ministry's Security-Diplomatic Bureau, Maj. Gen. Amos Gilad who
recently visited Cairo and met Egyptian Defense Minister Hussein Tantawi and
Intelligence Chief Lt. Gen. Omar Suleiman.
Gilad pointed out to Egyptian officials that Israel is concerned over the
absence of cooperation and coordination between the two countries' security
bodies, noting that Gilad also went over the issue of imprisoned Israeli
soldier Gilad Shalit as well as the Egyptian plans to restore stability along
the Israeli boarders with Gaza Strip and boarders between Gaza Strip and
Egypt, the radio said.(end)
