Arab League chief gets letter from Kuwait deputy PM on economic summit

(With photos) CAIRO, Sept 7 (KUNA) -- Arab League secretary general Amr Moussa received Sunday a letter from Kuwait's deputy prime minister and minister of state for cabinet affairs Faisal Al-Hajji about preparations for the upcoming Arab economic summit, due in Kuwait next January.
The letter was delivered by head of Kuwait's foreign ministry's Arab department Ambassador Jassem Al-Mubaraki during a meeting with Moussa at his office here.
Speaking to KUNA after the meeting, Al-Mubaraki said Al-Hajji appreicated the Arab League's staff who were working hard to prepare for the economic, development and social summit.
Al-Hajji called in his letter for the activation of coordination between Kuwait and the Arab League to bring about success for the summit, he said.
The summit's general coordinator Dr. Mervat Telawi, Arab League assistant secretary general for economic affairs Mohammad Al-Tuwaijri and assistant secretary general for social affairs Dr. Sima Bahhouth are invited to visit Kuwait next Wednesday as part of the preparation process, said Al-Mubaraki.
