CAIRO, Aug 28 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shimali met here Thursday with Egypt's Commerce and Industry Minister Rashid Mohammad Rashid, discussing with him the upcoming Arab economic, development, and social summit to be held in Kuwait next January.
The meeting was held here on the sideline of the 82nd meeting for the Arab League's economic and social council.
The two ministers focused during their meeting on the summit to be held in Kuwait on January 19-20, agreeing on the most important proposals to be submitted in the summit.
Both also affirmed that it was vital to coordinate efforts between the leaderships of both nations for the benefit and welfare of Kuwaitis and Egyptians.
Al-Shimali chaired previously the preparatory meeting for the Arab economic, development, and social summit's committee. He also attended the opening of the 82nd meeting for the Arab League economic and social council, affirming that the next summit in Kuwait must act as a launch-pad for joint Arab economic cooperation.
