Iran rules out possible Israeli military strike

TEHRAN, June 21 (KUNA) -- Iran on Saturday ruled out a possible Israeli military strike on its nulear installations saying such an eventuality "is impossible." The government spokesman, Gholam Hossein, ruled out at a regular weekly news conference that Israel would be able to carry out such a military attack. "This is something impossible," he said.
His remarks coincided with press reports indicating that the Israeli military forces have recently carried out wide-scale military drills in preparation for a strike on Iran's nuclear strike.
Hossein, whose country has been targeted with pressure by the major powers to scrap its uranium enrichement program, reiterated the rejection of pressures to suspend the nuclear activities. (end) mw.rk KUNA 211338 Jun 08NNNN
