BAGHDAD, May 21 (KUNA) -- Eleven Iraqis were killed and seven others were
injured during violence in several areas of the Iraqi capital on Wednesday.
A police source told KUNA that three IEDs exploded when a patrol for the
Multi-National Force (MNF) was passing by in the Obaidi area, leading to huge
damages to the MNF vehicle.
Then clashes erupted between masked gunmen and the Iraqi-US troops, said
the source, noting that several citizens were caught in the crossfire, leading
to the death of 11 citizens and the injury of three others.
Meanwhile, another Iraqi police source said that four citizens were injured
when an IED exploded in the Beirut square in Palestine Street, Baghdad. (end)
