MUSCAT, March 31 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ambassador to Oman Shamlan Abdulaziz
Al-Roumi opened on Monday the new military bureau in the seaside upscale
residential district of Shati Al-Qurm in the sultanate's capital.
Kuwaiti military attach{ in Muscat, Brigadier Ali Mohammad Al-Khamees, said
on this occasion that this step comes within the framework of cooperation
among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
He added, the opening of the bureau also comes in line with a
recommendation by First Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber
Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to strengthen cooperation and coordination
between Kuwait and Oman.
Al-Khamees highlighted the strong relations between the two countries,
hoping that the establishment of a Kuwaiti military bureau would boost
relations in the field of defense.
The opening of the bureau was attended by several members of the Kuwaiti
Embassy, in addition to GCC military figures in Oman.(end)
