NEW DELHI, Feb 7 (KUNA) -- At least six Sri Lankan Naval personnel have
been killed in an attack by the sea wing of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil
Eelam (LTTE) off the northern coast of the island nation.
"Six Navy sailors were killed in an attack late last night by the Sea
Tigers off the coast of Thalaimannar," news agency Press Trust of India
reported Thursday quoting a Sri Lankan military source.
However, the Navy was successful in rescuing one naval sailor from the
attack, the news agency said. (end)
