BAGHDAD, Jan 3 (KUNA) -- US Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker said on
Thursday that the American side was prepared to contest the fourth round of
talks with Iraqi and Iranian governments on the security situation in Iraq.
Crocker told reporters during his visit to Abu Nawas street that his
country was ready to hold a new round of talks with Iraqi and Iranian sides on
security in Iraq alluding to the continuing dialogue with the Iraqi government
to determine the date of talks in the fourth round.
Crocker said "we are in contact with the Iraqi government to determine the
date of the talks and we hope that there will be a decision soon on this
matter."
He added, "We on our part are ready to conduct these talks at any time."
