BAGHDAD, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The headquarters of Iraq's Islamic Party was
raided and inspected for four hours on Saturday by US forces, leaving behind a
scene in complete ruin, the party said in a statement.
The Islamic party which is led by Vice President Tareq Al-Hashemi said
several offices were in the past raided by US forces who were following a
false lead.
The statement added the party will continue its commitment to political
process in the country and national unity.
The party considered one of the key components in Iraq's Reconciliation
Front bloc witnessed resignations from government posts by party's ministers
in the past two months. (end)
