BAGHDAD, July 17 (KUNA) -- Four Iraqis were killed and five others were
wounded Tuesday when a booby-trapped car detonated near the Iranian Embassy in
the Iraqi Capital, Baghdad.
A number of policemen and eyewitnesses said a car parked near the embassy
exploded killing four Iraqis and wounding five others.
The blast near the Iranian Embassy occurred a few hundred yards north of
the U.S.-controlled Green Zone, sending a huge cloud of black smoke over the
city, they said.
The attack caused damage to nearby cars but inflicted no damage on the
embassy building, KUNA correspondent noted.
Security forces cordoned off the incident area and beefed up security. (end)
