Tokyo Monorail link to Int'l airport resumes services
TOKYO, Nov 24 (KUNA) -- Tokyo's monorail system connecting Haneda
International Airport to downtown Tokyo resumed services Friday afternoon
eight hours after being suspended, affecting some 54,000 passengers.
Tokyo Monorail Company said a rail maintenance vehicle was stuck on the
track, due to trouble with its braking system. It resumed services at 1:10 p.
m. after the maintenance vehicle was removed from the site.
According to the operator, the line handles about 300,000 passengers every
weekday, operating from 5:30 a.m. to midnight with over 500 trains.(end)
