Amir of Kuwait ISLAMABAD, Jan 15 (KUNA) -- Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz immediately cancelled all his scheduled activities after hearing the sad demise of His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Kuwait Amir, and left for Kuwait to attend the funeral of H.H. The Information Minister, Shaikh Rashid, talking to KUNA said that the Premier has already left for Kuwait to express condolence on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan. The Minister said that the government has announced three day national mourning and the national flag would fly at half-mast on all government offices to mourn the sad demise. He expressing sorrow over the death said that the Amir of Kuwait was a great friend of Pakistan, standing by it in every hour of need. "He played very important role in the cordial relationship of Pakistan and Kuwait." Meanwhile, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mir Zafar Ullah Khan Jamali, also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief. "The tragic news has saddened the whole nation and I personally very sorrowful." He said he met with the Amir in America few years back.
