Anarchist militants behind Letter bombs
ROME, May 24 (KUNA) -- Anarchist militants might be behind the letter bomb
that blew up in a police station in Turin Tuesday, slightly injuring a
policewoman, and another which was defused in a residence for immigrants in
the northern city of Modena, said Governor of Turin Carlo De Stefano.
The governor said the same method was used in the preparation and dispatch
of the two bombs.
The same group of anarchists was responsible for a series of similar
explosions in 2003 and 2004, one of which had targeted the then Head of the
European Commission Romano Prodi. (end)
