KUN0100 4 GEN 0124 KUWAIT /KUNA-AYG6 MIL-TINDOUF-MOROCCO ICRC announces the repatriation of 100 Moroccan POWS GENEVA, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced Tuesday that 100 Moroccan prisoners released by the Polisario Front were repatriated under its auspices. The ICRC noted that the release was mediated by Qatar who provided an aircraft to transport the Moroccan POWS from Tindouf, Algeria to a military base in Agadir, Morocco. The humanitarian organization welcomed the release of the 100 prisoners, however it expressed its concern about the plight of the 514 Moroccans still being held captive and reiterated its call for their release, in conformity with the provisions of international humanitarian law.
