Kuwait MoI ensures secure, orderly Gargean celebrations

KUWAIT, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ministry of Interior (MoI) announced Wednesday its full readiness to ensure smooth traffic and enhanced security in residential areas for Ramadan and upcoming Gargean festivities, enabling safe, organized celebrations for all.
In a press statement, the ministry urged those planning accompanying events - such as introducing entertainment carts, mobile food trucks, bikes, or outdoor shows outside homes - to contact their local police station in advance for coordination and necessary measures, prioritizing safety for all.
Citizens and residents must adhere to traffic, security, and organizational rules to organize events without disrupting road use or causing unintended congestion or risks, thereby protecting public safety, it emphasized.
MoI encouraged parents to supervise and accompany their children during house-to-house visits, educating them on safety guidelines, and urged drivers to respect speed limits and exercise utmost caution, especially on internal roads with high child activity.
It noted a comprehensive security and traffic plan for Ramadan, including strategic deployment of patrols across governorates to bolster preventive security and public safety.
The ministry highlighted that compliance with instructions and cooperation with security personnel will ensure successful celebrations, reflecting the society's civilized image in commemorating national and religious occasions with joy and reassurance. (end) ajr.afh.lr
