KUWAIT, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- Minister of Education Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaei congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti people on the Independence and Liberation Days.
In a statement on Tuesday, Al-Tabtabaei affirmed that the anniversaries represent two pivotal milestones in Kuwait's history that reshaped its path and consolidated its standing as a free, sovereign nation.
He noted that these occasions recall with pride the sacrifices of the founding fathers and the heroism of the martyrs who wrote the epic of liberation with their blood.
He stressed that the wise political leadership, guided by a clear vision and a steadfast approach, has continued the march of construction and development while strengthening Kuwait's regional and international standing.
The security and stability the country enjoys, he said, are the fruits of the close bond between the leadership and the people and a living embodiment of the national responsibility borne by all.
He prayed to Almighty Allah to protect Kuwait, its leadership and people, and to grant the nation continued security, stability and prosperity. (end)
