BRUSSELS, Feb 24 (KUNA) -- European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen reaffirmed the European Union's commitment to support Ukraine militarily until peace is achieved on Kyiv's terms, speaking in Kyiv during a visit marking the war's fourth anniversary there.
In a post on X, von der Leyen said she had arrived in Kyiv for her tenth visit since the outbreak of the war "to reaffirm that Europe stands unwaveringly with Ukraine, financially, militarily, and through this harsh winter."
She said she was there to underscore an enduring commitment to Ukraine's just fight, sending a clear message to Ukrainians and the aggressor alike that support would not relent until peace is fully restored there.
She explained that the desired peace must be "Peace on Ukraine's terms," in reference to the European Union's support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of what she described as "Russian aggression." (end)
