TEHRAN, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Iranian authorities announced Saturday that a 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck the city of Rudboneh in Gilan Province, northern Iran.
The Seismological Center of University of Tehran said in a statement that the quake measured 4.4 on the Richter scale, hitting Rudboneh at 8:39 a.m. local time at a depth of 20 kilometers.
The statement added that residents of areas surrounding Rudboneh also felt the tremor, noting that no reports have yet been received of possible human or material losses. (end)
