45 Kuwaiti, Egyptian artists portrait mural themed "together for the love of Kuwait"

By Shahad Kamal KUWAIT, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Some 45 Kuwaiti and Egyptian artists have made a shared mural titled "together for the love of Kuwait", drawing an act which embodies the spirit of love, brotherhood and deep-rooted humanitarian and historic bonds.
The mural was offered on Friday at the Kuwait National Museum during an event co-organized by the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters (NCCAL) and the Egyptian Embassy in Kuwait for the fourth year in a row.
Speaking to KUNA in a statement, NCCAL Assistant Secretary General Musaed Al-Zamel said the shared mural is a bright model of Arab cultural collaboration and shows the depth of relations between Kuwait and Egypt.
He noted that fine arts remains an international language able to deliver messages of love and closeness among nations.
The participation of 45 male and female artists from the two sides in this creative act mirrors collective action and faith in the importance of art as a civilized communication bridge, he affirmed.
Varied schools shown in the mural made it beatifully distinguished which shows the rich artistic experience of the two sisterly countries, he said.
Al-Zamel affirmed keenness of the council on supporting common artistic initiatives which boost cultural movement and open new horizons before creative people.
Meanwhile, Egypt's Ambassador to Kuwait Mohammad Abulwafa said this act indicates the special relations between Egypt and Kuwait, and their nations.
He pointed out that culture and art are a humanitarian communication bridge and a soft power which contributes to enhancing integration and cooperation between the two sides.
The ambassador extended congratulations to Kuwait's leadership, government and people on the Indepenence and Liberation Days, wishing the country everlasting stability, prosperity and security.
The mural affirms the deep-rooted and robust relations between Egypt and Kuwait, he concluded. (end) shd.hm
