ALGIERS, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- Mauritanian Minister of Economic Affairs and Development Abdoullah Ould Souleymane Ould Sheikh Sidia and Director General of the Kuwait Fund for Arab and Economic Affairs Waleed Al-Bahar discussed on Wednesday the means of bolstering development collaboration, lauding the KFAED role in his country.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of participation of the two sides in the 49th session of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Governing Council in Rome, Mauritania's economic ministry said in a statement.
Both sides reviewed their distinguished relations and KFAED's contributions to development path in Mauritania.
The talks also focused on the portfolio of KFAED-funded development projects mainly in vital infrastructure, water, food security support fields and more, it noted.
Meanwhile, Al-Bahar stressed readiness to continue backing Mauritanian development programs and commended progress made by the country in managing foreign fundings and improving economic indicators.
The gathering was attended by the Mauritanian minister's delegation members and several KFAED senior officials. (end)
