Kuwait Embassy in Riyadh marks 65th Independence, 35th Liberation Days
RIYADH, Feb 11 (KUNA) -- The Kuwait Embassy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrated on Wednesday the 65th Independence Day and the 35th Liberation Day.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of Riyadh Province Prince Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, some senior officials, dignitaries and the heads of diplomatic missions in the Kingdom.
At the beginning, Kuwait Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah welcomed the attendees, expressing appreciation to all who took part in Kuwait's celebrations of the two dear occasions.
Delivering a speech at the festival, the ambassador conveyed congratulations to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and the Kuwaiti government and people.
"We commemorate the national days in our second country - Saudi Arabia - which comes in coincidence with the Kingdom's Founding Day," he said.
Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser voiced sincere congratulations to Saudi Arabia on this dear occasion, wishing everlasting progress and prosperity to the Kingdom, under the leadership of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his honest Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Avdulaziz.
The ambassador highly commended the deep-rooted Saud Arabia-Kuwait relations.
The ceremony has witnessed Kuwait's popular art performance presented by Hamad bin Hussein's band, along an exhibition containing several portraits showing Kuwait artistic culture. (end)
