WASHINGTON, Feb 11 (KUNA) - US President Donald Trump emphasized that negotiations with Iran must be exhausted before considering alternative measures.
"There was nothing definitive reached other than I insisted that negotiations with Iran continue to see whether or not a deal can be consummated," President Trump posted on Truth Social platform after a protracted summit with Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government Benjamin Netanyahu.
"If it can, I let the Prime Minister know that will be a preference. If it cannot, we will just have to see what the outcome will be." The President, however, warned Tehran that a refusal to engage reasonably would trigger "grave consequences." He invoked the memory of Operation Midnight Hammer-the 2025 kinetic strikes-noting that Iran's previous refusal to the deal "did not work well for them." Furthermore, Trump lauded what he described as "tremendous progress" regarding the stability of Gaza and the broader regional landscape, asserting that "truly peace" is taking hold in the Middle East.
