By Mustafa Al-Marini RABAT, Feb 11(KUNA) -- The 61st Arab High Committee for Standardization began on Wednesday in Rabat, organized by the Arab Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining Organization (AIDSMO) with Kuwait's participation.
AIDSMO's Director General Adel Al-Sager said to KUNA that the meeting aims to achieve the organization's goals, especially regarding unification of Arab standards and specifications.
He emphasized the importance of joint Arab action in unifying technical regulations, as well as inspection and selection methods, to establish a common Arab market and achieve sustainable development.
For his part, Deputy Director General of Specifications, Standards, and Industrial Services at the Kuwait Public Authority for Industry (PAI) Mohammad Al-Mulla confirmed in a similar statement the importance of the meeting in unifying specifications.
He stressed Kuwait's keenness to support joint Arab efforts in unifying technical specifications and standards to align with internationally recognized standards, praising the role of the AIDSMO in its effort to achieve that. (end) mry.sas
