KUWAIT, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Acting Minister of Information and Culture Omar Al-Omar received on Tuesday Bahraini Minister of Information Dr. Ramzan Al-Nuaimi upon his arrival in Kuwait.
Dr. Al-Nuaimi is visiting to participate in the Executive Bureau meeting of the Council of Arab Information Ministers, which Kuwait will host on Wednesday.
In a statement to KUNA, Minister Al-Omar, also serves as Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, emphasized the depth and strength of the fraternal relations between Kuwait and Bahrain.
He commended the high-level of bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly in media and culture, which reflects the historical ties between the two nations.
He underscored the importance of developing mechanisms for joint Arab media work and enhancing coordination among Arab media institutions to serve Arab causes.
Minister Al-Omar also stressed the need to keep pace with the rapid changes in the media sector and deliver professional and responsible news coverage.
He noted Kuwait's keenness to support all efforts that would strengthen joint Arab media cooperation and intensify coordination among Arab ministries of information.
He stressed the importance of unifying efforts to confront current challenges and present a balanced Arab media discourse that reflects shared values, preserves Arab identity, and adapts to rapid technological developments in the media sector. (end)
