KUWAIT, Feb 10 (KUNA) -- Under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, "Deerat Al-Khair" National Operetta was held on Tuesday at Bayan Palace Theater.
Receiving His Highness the Amir were Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology and Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Omar Al-Omar, Education Minister Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabei, and Voluntary Work Center Chief Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
The event was also attended by His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and senior state officials.
The ceremony began with the national anthem, followed by student performances of the national operetta, which highlighted Kuwait's unity, resilience and ability to overcome challenges through the ages.
On this occasion, a commemorative gift was presented to His Highness before his departure. (end)
